“Rami secchi”: The project by Martino De Grandis

“Rami secchi” (“Dried Branches”) is my personal answer to a simple question: if you could imagine a world where human being are inanimate, how would it be like? Therefore I tried to replicate a series of everyday objects through the human body: a light stand, a coat hanger, the arm’s seat, a table and a wallpaper.  At a certain point the project has had heavy influences by the surrealism movement. This is strongly visible in some shots where I was irrationally engaged in the creation of illogical pictures.

“Rami secchi” rappresenta la mia risposta a una semplice domanda: se potessi immaginare un mondo in cui gli essere umani sono inanimati come sarebbe? Di conseguenza ho cercato di replicare una serie di oggetti d’uso quotidiano attraverso il corpo umano: una lampada, un appendiabiti, i braccioli di una poltrona, un tavolo e infine la carta da parati di un muro. A un certo punto del progetto sono stato influenza da movimenti artistici come il surrealismo. Ciò è fortemente visibile in alcuni scatti dove tendo a creare delle immagini illogiche.
