What is your story?, what do you do…?
I’m an actress. I like to think of myself as a wanderer looking for my place in the world.
I grew up in Avellino, a small city in the south of Italy, now I’m living between Rome and Milan or wherever my work takes me.
When I was little I’ve always felt out of place there and I always had the urge to create new worlds with my imagination or simply with everything I had around. It wasn’t important what I was doing, but only the fact that I was escaping somewhere else made me feel better… and that’s what I still do everyday with my job: trying to know myself better to go beyond my limits.
How has COVID-19 penalised or helped your creative process ? (Or music creation, fashion sense, work, photography, lifestyle..?)
Acting is about feelings, connection with yourself and the other, listening, behaving truthfully… it’s not talking. Silence can say much more than words. That’s how COVID-19 has left us: in silence. This situation has radically changed my creative process. I can study more plays and artists but I miss the “impulsive and raw part” of creating a work together. Online interaction can never be the same as the energy of an audience.
What do you think are the best ways to keep up with the fashion trends nowadays ?
I think (and hope) that in this moment more than ever we’ve all become more essential and aware about what we buy and expecially where we buy. For me having your own style is betterthan keeping up with the fashion trends. I love vintage and finding unique pieces in small markets.
How do you see yourself in the future? / what are your hopes, your aims?
I really believe in the cathartic power of cinema and theater as a way to reflect, connect and meditate. I hope to travel all over the world doing what I love. I’d like to play in foreign and independent movies and also work on personal projects.
